The Cicero Community Collaborative is committed to enhancing the quality of life for Cicero children, youth and families by working together to improve educational outcomes, parent engagement, and health and safety.
The Cicero Community Collaborative seeks to be a catalyst for community transformation by empowering residents to be the agents for social change. CCC seeks to create a hub where families can connect to the programs, services, and resources they need to build stronger schools and healthier, safer, and more socially cohesive communities.
The CCC has always had a bottom-up administrative structure to ensure that our work is driven by working committees comprised of Cicero residents. CCC’s steering committee recently hired its first Program Director to provide greater guidance, support, and oversight to the organization’s working committees. A two-year strategic plan was also adopted, which is anchored on four priorities:
Youth Crossroads recently opened a new space at 5533 W. 25th Street, which houses the Cicero Community Collaborative along with YC counseling staff and the All Our Kids Network, to offer one-stop shopping to Cicero families needing to access support services. In addition to hosting CCC committee meetings, community partner meetings, DACA workshops, and parent ambassador training. The Center also hosts regular food distribution events and workforce development classes.
To better understand and respond to the challenges facing Cicero youth and families today, we are developing a community needs assessment in partnership with our key stakeholders. The Community Needs Assessment, which will completed by Summer of 2023, will provide a road map to help Cicero youth and families create brighter futures built on hope, health, and opportunity.
